accSone's crusher-X 8 GCOs under Steinberg's Cubase 10 in 5.1 surround mode. Monitored on a 5.1 #surround EV speaker setup recorded live in the studio with a #ZOOM H3-VR #ambisonics fieldrecorder. The 4 channel AmbiX 24bit/48k wav files were encoded by the ZOOM Ambisonics Player into a binaural stereo file.
accSone wishes merry crusher-Xmas & a good start into 2020! It's your sound design!

We like to share with you this 100% wireless bluetooth "crusher-X to go" setup. It creates a lot of fun, it's easy to setup and it is really loud!

  • crusher-X 8, MIDIberry and loopMIDI
  • Microsoft Surface 3
  • Marshall Kilburn 1 Bluetooth speaker
  • ROLI Seaboard Block MPE MIDI Controller
  • All battery powered and connected via bluetooth
How it works:

crusher-X receives the speakers output via the Surface 3 microphone and granulized the feedback live depending on the MPE controller input and the touch control. crusher-X runs on the stand-alone ASIO VST host that is part of the windows download package. It receives MPE MIDI data from a loopMIDI Loopback Device that is fed by the MIDIberry Bluetooth to MIDI bridge running in the background.

For the video recording the speakers output was picked up with stereo microphone attached directly to the camera.
